Just when I thought we couldn't paddle Shoshone any later at night...

If we keep this up, we may not be putting on the river until after sunset. Waiting for a few more paddlers to show up along with the increasingly shorter days created an even more thrilling, limited visibility run in Shoshone tonight.
To add to the excitement, Lisa suggested we take the far left line through Maneater. I naively agreed to follow her.
Taking a rocky, hole filled line through Maneater with no light definitely created a memorable experience.
There were not too many kayakers at Shoshone tonight. The air temperature has dropped and fewer people are eager to get in the river.
I am starting to paddle Shoshone just because it is there and not too far away. A lot of runs have dried up, and Shoshone is the "old reliable" for people in this region.
I need to start hunting out a few new challenges before the snow begins to fall, even if it means driving a little more.
