I came along with the Edwards, Colorado group again to paddle Shoshone in the evening. We got an even later start then last time. We also ended up putting in with some other groups which resulted in more than 30 kayakers paddling down together.

With several from each group taking turns to play in the features, our takeout time was later than my last Paddle Day. It was very dark by the time we reached the last gentle stretch after Maneater rapid.

Many people knew each other, even those who arrived in separate groups. The takeout turned into a prolonged social gathering under the street lights of the Grizzly I-70 exit.
