Breckenridge Kayak Roll Clinic - Can I Still Roll?

After having all winter to dwell on my head bashings at Shoshone last season, it seems like a good idea to start this year off with a warm up kayak roll session in the Breckenridge pool.

It's the beginning of June already and many start the kayak season in May or earlier, but it is still snowboard season for me. The highest elevation resort in North America, Arapahoe Basin, is only a few minutes down the street from my house. And with their deep, high altitude snow pack, closing day is nowhere in sight.

But back to kayaking...
Yes, I can still kayak roll.
It was good to establish that before risking a swim in Colorado's frigid early season snow melt rivers.

I have signed up for the CKS Summit Paddle Club again this year. I will accompany the group on an Upper C run later this week. I understand that the big snow year has produced raging conditions as the heavy snow pack liquefies and works its way to lower elevations.

It is going to be a fun and progressive summer.
